84th Annual Meeting

of the German Society for Mammalian Biology

Berlin, 12th-16th September 2010

 

You are heartily invited to participate in the 84th Annual Meeting of the German Society for Mammalogy (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Säugetierkunde e.V.), which will be held in Berlin, where the Society was founded in 1926. The meeting will be hosted by the Zoo/TierparkBerlin. The Zoo of the Capital Berlin (Zoo, Tierpark, Zoo-Aquarium) is not only the oldest Zoo in Germany, but has also the largest animal collection in the world. The Zoos in Berlin count more than 4 million visitors per year.

The meeting languages will be English and German. The main topics of this congress are "Biology of Zoological Gardens" and "Evolution, Social Systems and Reproduction". As usual, presentations in all topics of mammalogy are also welcome.

All participants will have during the meeting a free entrance into the Zoo, the Tierpark and the Zoo-Aquarium.

Presentations

Oral and poster presentations for the main topics and other fields of mammalogy are welcome for the meeting. Deadline for abstract submission is May 31, 2010. Formal acceptance of the contributions will be sent out until June 13th, 2010. Oral presentations will be scheduled for 15 minutes, posters should be in DIN A1 format.

Beamer equipment for presentation will be available in the conference venue. If a slide or a folio overhead projector will be required, please inform the organizer when submitting your contribution.

Abstracts will be published in a special supplement to Mammalian Biology. Abstracts should not exceed one page and should be organized as follows:
